Well hello there everyone,

Yep - you guessed it from the title, we're now about to start the planning and organisation of this years main Lab Forums Get Together. Very Happy

For all you newbies out there, the GT is a time for all our members to Get Together and meet up for a great day out.. along with their lovely labs of course!

We would love to hear your ideas of what you would like to see, and venue ideas. Please feel free to pop your ideas in this post, or alternatively email/pm me/hubby. (Labadmin)

We need to put together a GT Committee, with the following volunteers:

- Co-ordinator
- Assistant Co-ordinator
- PR/Marketing Persons X 2
- First Aiders
- Volunteers to contact would-be sponsors

& probably many more in time to come. Wink

Thanks everyone, we look forward to your hearing your ideas.

Lets get started... Wink

Julie & Dave
x

I will apologise now, but I cannot volunteer to do the sponsership requests this year as I have done for the past two years - I just do not have the time Sad Sorry Sad

Can I just ask, for us who have not been to a main GT as yet, for a better idea of what exactly would be involved for each of the roles? Thanks.

Yay!!! Laughing Laughing

I'm very happy to help. Probably couldn't do the co-ordinating.
Good question Vicki...what would these roles involve Very Happy

It would be very good to hold the GT centrally as it has been for the past years...to make it fair....and loads of fun events! Very Happy

I might be able to help shed some light with this one as I did this with Sonia for the last two years

Volunteers to contact would-be sponsors
Basically contacting dog related companies and asking if they would like to donate prizes for raffles etc etc I did most by email so no cold calling involved Wink unless you prefer the phone of course. I have a template email and a spreadsheet of all the companies we contacted that I could pass onto whomever volunteers this yeat if that would help?

Can we go to the same place as last year. It was ideal.

Get the scouts cooking our meals again. They were brilliant, good value, good company, saved alot of us catering on our own, and no washing up to do either.

How about asking Di to do a demo/training thingy on the friday evening. I'd like to get there thursday this time as travelling on fridays has been awful.
