   |
|
I'm trying to see if there are any relatives today from our childhood dog (Hector born May 1995).
His Sire was Meadow Mill Tap on Wood from Mrs E V Ayling of Chichester and Dam was September Melody who belonged to Mrs M Hunt of Lovedean, Hants.
If possible I would eventually like another puppy who is related to our lovely Hector (sentimental fool that I am).
Sue kindly pointed me in the direction of some websites with databases and I found Meadowmill Tap on Wood on one of them but don't really know what to do next
Thanks in advance, any help is gratefully received.
Claire

One of the problems you will have is that you now trying to trace offspring rather than ancestors and that opens all sorts of cans of worms - if you were talking about a well known stud dog like Kupros master Mariner, then it would be relatively easy to track dependent lines - unfortunately from what appear to be (at least on the bitches side) pet lines, it becomes a lot more complex.
Do you have the five generation pedigree? if you posted that on here, then you may have a chance of finding people with the dogs in the first couple of generations in the back end of their younger dogs - this might then help you to trace a line down and find a breeder.
That said, I suspect it is going to be a lot of hard work, and may not come to fruition - whereas there are a lot of good responsible breeders out there producing health quality nice natured offspring
Good luck anyhow - if there is anything I can do to help - let me know
Sue

Thanks Sue, I am trying to find the pedigrees of generations before and didn't really realise how difficult and complex this may be. I will keep trying and may well need more of your wonderful help in the future, thanks again.

Can you type in his pedigree name and a few of his ancestors and I might be able to tell you a little.
