Chester did exactly that! When I first got it, he played with it for 5 mins, and as he couldn't kill it, he since left it alone.. but this morning.. there was nothing in the lounge to play with besides this one (he had successfully killed everything else around, so all taken away!)
So he decided that he would make it his project for the morning, and successful he was!
Still shocked by killing the 'battle tested red thing' in a matter of hours.. might send it back and tell them to use labs when testing their toys! hehe
Re thread hijacking you lot!! really! how very dare you! (No need to apologise!! Reccomend getting one, and letting us know how long it takes them to shread it

Have you tried a galileo bone? Not exactly a toy, but it keeps them occupied:

We have one that our old lab had for about eight years, and I have recently boiled it and given it to Alfie. He loves chewing it, and has made more inroads in a month than Simba did in eight years (the boiling may have softened it), but it's still in one piece.

we are really lucky with bailey, he will only trash a toy if it has a fault already. for example we bought him a toy turtle, he played really gently with it for ages - until the seam split and he saw the stuffing. we took it off him restuffed him and stitched it up and all is fine. in fact soft toys last bailey longer than other toys. we bought him a really large moose in pets at home after xmas, should have been £10 but was half price. he carries it round everywhere with him lol
