I know how heart breaking it was Julie, when my wonderful Bethany developed it. But the two of us learned to live with it. She was such a character that nothing got her down for long. She had a way of looking at you that you just knew she was laughing at your jokes. She made it easy for me.
well after the weekend from hell with zak having had 3 fits in one day and being so restless none of us can settle i am definatly going to send a e.mail to the address posted, any help we can give to try and prevent other labs suffering (and their owners) we must,
Mambo has Partial seizures which sometimes develope into Generalised Seizures (formally called Gran Mal!! ) They do seem to follow a similar pattern to that of my daughter.
The vet has given Diazapam PR to use if they on longer than 5mins or come in a cluster.
As far as I know it is still ongoing, I put this on here the day I read it in the shooting press. Actually, I never thought or I would have brought it up with Jeff Sampson at the Labrador club AGM yesterday. Although from the sound of things from Fay's post, they might have received rather more samples than they were expecting! Sounds good to me! It certainly does not sound like they are standing around waiting for the odd sample to drop through the door.
Just to let you know I was contacted and sent a sample kit about 2 months later, I sent it back about 2 weeks ago - it was very difficult to get 40 swabs each side of Winstons mouth without him trying to eat it
