Hi all

I've just read on Pet Planet that Vetbeds are virtually indestructible but reading some of your other posts on other threads, this doesn't seem to be the case!

I've just ordered a Vetbed from eBay but reading Kay's post above, think I may have made an error! Oops! Oh well, can't take the PayPal back now Wink More stuffing should I decide to ever start making teddy bears or something then! Wink

I saw that Meg recommended Profleece (http://www.profleece.co.uk/) on another thread too.

All the best,
Nic

We have vet bed gold which was recommended by my vet when Archie was diagnosed with allergies, especially to dustmites.VET BED GOLD is brilliant because dustmites cannot live on this bedding as they starve to .The cheapest company was Bronte glen online and got a huge bit for about 24.99.They are lots of cheaper versions which are great if you have pups or elderly dogs but they dont give you the protection of the anti dustmite unless you wash it at high temp regularly. We found that Archie was much less itchy and his spots and fur loss improved

George and Alfie have Vetbed gold inside of their plastic beds. George has had his for about 5 months and despite numerous washes and much chewing it is still in excellent condition

I have used vet bed for years and our 4 year old stuff got for when Willow arrived is still going strong. Got new stuff for her when Dora arrived only mistake was from changing colour from grey to black- if Willow is curled up on her new vet bed I cants see her and if she hasnt got her collar she is almost invisible on a quick glance. So I wont be buying black again!
I tend to buy the 40"x60" one and cut it in half as it works out cheaper. The dogs use it as a bed and a toy. The fact that it squishes into a corner has its bonuses on hot days as it gives my dogs a cool surface to sleep on.
