Aimed at the PET market, this 'training' lead and collar are now avaliable freely in the UK with a training manual - of which I have copied just one page - 'how to teach your pet dog to Sit'.
Now even in professional hands I'm not a great fan of Electric collars, so this lead and collar in pet hands is so horrifying I just had to share, to warn, and to beg pet owners, there are other ways! This is a sledgehammer to crack a nut..... AND without trying nutcrackers first!
I'm not sure how the forum stands even though it is only my opinion quoting product brands and so on because I am being so negative but be assured these are avaliable very easily to anyone at all....

I cannot believe products like this are available for general use. I would like to put these collars on the idiots that stock them, just so they get an understanding of the pain they can cause.
so basically, hurt ur dog untill it does what you havnt properly taught it yet.......
how incredible! i think i might go away and design my own electrical shock nappy for children....
...and what I haven't shown is that there are TEN levels of 'stimulation' avaliable for the user. So you try it on level one, that doesn't work, so lets just whack it up to level 10..... because as a novice owner we have no other idea why the dog might not be sitting other than it being bloody minded.... so lets 'teach it that it SHOULD do what its told....'
Until its crawling on its belly utterly confused and scared of its own shadow.
I don't think my usual 'sigh' is quite enough to express my at this... the other products in the range such as an 'electric mat to keep the dog in one place' are equally delightful.

Oh my god Di, this is making me feel physically sick.
Was so delighted when I saw the news coverage on the Welsh Assembly wanting to ban electric collars ... now this has truly burst my bubble ... is there no end to our willingness to hurt first and ask questions later?
