Hello

I'm thinking of getting a Lupine collar or Red Dingo collar with the break away clasps/clips.
Are these strong enough to hold a labrador that sometimes pulls hard?

The last thing I want is my lab coming loose on a busy road!

Thanks.

Well Ruby wears red dingo every day - she is in a medium which is 3/4 inch long. They go by neck measurements and the bigger size (large) is one inch thick. LOADS of people use them and I have never ever had anyone say they have snapped. We sell LOADS (cant comment on Rogz as we dont carry them)

HTH - they sell them LOADS of places but we sell them here Red_dingo

Neo had a Rogz collar which was really strong, I liked the fact that the clip actually has a fastener on it which means it can;t come undone by itself - it was really strong and I loved the designs....

Must dig it out and add it to the ever growing collection!!!

We have some Red Dingo and Rogz collars, and the plastic clips seem very robust on both - Rogz with the added advantage of a 'lock' which you slide across the clip and completely stops it being opened.

I have heard horror stories of peoples dogs getting loose because the plastic clip has come open on their dogs collar, so I'd definately recommend sticking with the better quality ones you've mentioned.

Corbie has had the same Rogz collar for over a year now and no problems.

He also had a Pets at Home plain nylon one with the plastic clip for a couple of years and I only replaced it because I bought the Rogz for his birthday last year. He still has it as a spare.

lol lil fairy has waved magic wand all fixed.lol..

all my dogs collars are the quick release ones and we have not had any probs with them whilst out on walks Wink just keep checking the collars for rips/tears or stitching coming away to be extra safe.
