G'day all,

I think Leanne has forgotten to post about Pud's birthday, so let me beat her to it!! hehehe Very Happy

Okay, how about this for a plan.... a fun GT at Delamere Forest for Pud's 2nd birthday, and then those wanting to have a walk afterwards we can walk a few miles on some of the fab tracks in Delamere Forest?

Pud's birthday is 22 December, so I propose we have it on that day - how does that suit everyone else? I know it's the Saturday before Xmas but I'm hoping you're not all going away for Xmas?

There is public transport to Delamere, it's on the Manchester to Cheshire train line, trains do run to Delamere on Saturdays (as a request stop, where you must ask the guard to have the train stop).

Also, Shirley was telling me the last time I saw her that there is a fab Christmas Market there before Xmas as well, so anyone wanting a bit of Christmas Spirit can buy some there.

So, how does 22 December suit everyone? If it's no good, then we can play about with dates - maybe the weekend before that?

First half of the meet puppies more than welcome of course! Maybe meet up at 12noon? Then head off for the proper walk about 1pm or so?

Let me know if you're up for it!!

Ness

PS even though I don't believe in Christmas and do not celebrate it (different religion) I reckon I can probably whip up some festive cupcakes Smile
So does that work as a bribe for anyone?

Would be great to see you all again once more before the end of 2007.

Funnily enough Pud and I will be there!!! Laughing Laughing Laughing I'm such a rubbish mum - i'm so organised at work that i've become hopeless at organising things in personal life - i'm just all organised out! Last night out i organised for friends i forgot to book a table and ended up frantically leaving messages for people all over the place to advise them of change of venue so leaving this one up to Ness!

I promise to bring human goodies (esp as i do do xmas and no better excuse to eat lots of goodies!) - i'm sure ness said something recently about a doggy cake cook book??? Wink

Would be nice to meet some of the little pups (and their owners of course!) who i missed at the chorlton gt! As Ness said we can do a 'normal' GT standing around chatting and then proper walk afterwards for those who want to do the walking bit.

The facilities at Delamere are pretty good, the train station is right in the middle of the woods by the visitors centre. There is food and hot drinks available - which will be necessary to warm us up in december!

My friend Clare and I took Pud and her bc to delamere a couple of weeks ago. They were both covered in mud and as we were planning a stop at a pub on the way back we needed to clean them up. They have a bike hire place with a jet wash for cleaning off bikes so we purchased our token and cleaned up both dogs with the hose from a distance! We had an audience by the time we had finished and the man who ran the shop was fascinated! It did the trick though! Laughing

Okay all, sounds like we have a bit of interest for this one, so here's the details...

Date: Saturday 22 December
Time: Fun GT 12 noon (puppies etc all welcome!). Those doing the Proper Walk will probably head off about 1pm-ish.
Place: Delamere Forest Park, Linmere Visitor Centre, Delamere, Northwich, Cheshire, CW8 2JD
Other Info: There is a cafe at the visitors centre, there will (hopefully) be Christmas Markets on, there is a charge for parking, there are toilets.

Everyone to bring along their own hot drinks, Leanne will bring human nibblies and I will bring doggy birthday cake!!!

Hope to see you all there, please holler if you have any questions.

Ness
