Try to stop him jumping up and down off of sofa's if he does that, he also should not jump in and out of the car or go up and down stairs.

The normal roaming around is absolutely fine, its more the activities that put more strain on his joints while he is young.

ok.. i just have a couple questions actually because im VERY new to this puppy training and being a dog owner. and i really dont know how to go about training him. or telling him thats not ok. to chew things even though he has his chew toys. he still chews everything in my house. so what advice would some of you give me being a first time dog owner.

Hi,

Try the Tug of War, it can teach them what they can chew and what they can't. It can be fun for you both Very Happy Puppies will chew whatever they can get hold of, so they need to learn what they can or can't have.

How old is he/she?
