freshwater west is in west wales, pembrokeshire, its a great beach which is quiet this time of year, but busy in the summer
has loads of dunes and great for swimming, especially the younger black lab poppy who this year persuaded the cautious megan into the swim! (only to collect a ball mind you!)
this forum is great! to me labs is a passion that far too often can be taken for granted with busy lives etc
hope to contribute some more to this forum - ive always got my camera at the ready for lab shots!!
only visited pembrokshire once when our kids were little stayed at buryport, but we have often looked at walk routes there and in my hubbys quest to walk the entire coastline of great britain i suspect it wont be long before we are in your neck of the woods, looking forward to reading more about you, how old is poppy and megan, our zak is just 12 months old now, we love him to bits and dont know what life was like without him now
burry port is in carmarthenshire, not as nice as pembs ( )!
They are a handful but thats what makes them great. Meg, the choc is the boss, poppy is submissive to meg but she can also give her all when required! Poppy is a food addict althuogh she is slim.
There are so many stories from them and boy they love their routines!
I would say they are not over trained because when they go out i never put a lead on them (which i know is not ideal) because we always go to open safe ground or out in the van to the beach. They do come to me on call (most of the time!)
when staying at buryport we visited your nek of the woods, oh god yes i would love another lab, especially if lucky enough to drop on one like zak who is sooooo perfect i nick name him st zak and am always blowing his trumpet on here, his recall is 90% walks to heel without a lead, retrieves well, doesnt chew anything he shouldnt, i could go on the list is endless, but since he has got to the 12 month mark he has been a bit naughtier than usual expect its the terrible teenage times and we will soon have the old zak back as he grows through it, you really must subscribe to the forum as you will then get unlimited posts, and will be able to go into the chat room which can be quite entertaining and gives you a chance for a proper conversation, hope you stick around and we get to know more about you..........
