Hi I've just found this wonderful site and I wonder if anybody can help? I have a beautiful Black Lab called Max. He is now over 8 years old but I didn't get him until he was 8 months old because he was a rescue dog. He is a very tall dog and people have commented on his size. I just wondered if anybody else had a dog from the same parents and if so if their boy or girl is exceptionally tall. Max's sire was Birchams Alberto and his dam was Faithful Penny. He was bred by a Mrs F C Webster in (I think) Norfolk. Can anybody help? Would be great if they could. Thank you.

How tall is he? Our eldest chocci girl is quite tall for a bitch, 24" high at the shoulder, I think just a shade taller than her mum. She's got Glosmere Stan the Man in her pedigree who is apparently the size of a small horse! Anyway, 'bump' to anyone out there in the know.
And, by the way, hello & welcome!

Lord that is tall for a girl. Max is 26 inches high and to be honest alot of people that are not familiar with Labs think he has something else in him (probably Great Dane)! Thank you for your welcome.

Yes we get that a lot, more because we keep the girls trim tho, everyone expects chocolate labs to be heifers! The Tau Monster is not much shorter than her big sis, she's just starting to lose the puppy look recently. Our old rescue girl, Rhuna, is like a little barrel on legs, lovely well sprung ribs but short stumpy legs bless her!
