|
Hi, my name is Lisa and I'm 24 yrs old. I have joined here to learn all about labradors and to learn what they are really like to live with from the experts - You people!
I recently lost my 13 yr old terrier Lucky who has been with my since I was 11. I also have a 15 month old german shepherd called Diesel. I'm finding it hard living in a one dog family and I would like to add a female lab to my life.
I am waiting until after Christmas as the holiday season isn't a great time to mix in a new pup, plus I have some holiday left over for early next year so I can take a few weeks off to socialize, housetrain and cuddle the baby! I also feel I need time to heal after losing my first dog.
I will be asking many questions and I look foward to talking to all of you.

Welcome to LF. Nice photo of Diesel in your avatar, lovely colouring.
I grew up with terriers in the family (westies) so Corbie is the first labrador I've ever owned. I wasn't sure what I was letting myself in for, as I was used to the little dogs I'm now hooked on the breed.
I won't deny that he was hard work when a puppy, but he's such a joy and I wouldn't change him for the world.
Good luck in finding your pup - if you need help on that front, there's plenty of members on here who can help point you in the right direction.

My german shepherd wasn't an easy puppy but we made it past that stage and he is a wonderful dog now.
I like a challenge!!
