From what I can gather, Rimadyl or Carprofen wasn't taken off the market, but the company withdrew it because it wasn't financially viable, probably due to the fact that there are many other NSAIDs in the human drug market

Personally, I feel that explanation was a cover up The real reason, as I have been lead to believe is the liver/kidney results of patients who took the drug. Apparantly much, much greater than those who took other Nsaids

hi i did post on your other one i have no problems with this drug and i trust my vet 100% as i said tia has been on this drug for 8 months we have had no problems at all no side effects either i to got worried and asked questions and my vet said that while some will have an effect on this hence they should be monterd there should be no problems at all with the use of this after all if it was so bad would they really put your pets life at risk? i am no expert at all but do you think the risks of this maybe put to the attention far more than maybe pets who have had problems on this drug a bit like the mmr in childern?not sure maybe i am being neive not though i would put that question to light. i do hope you no i am not being funny to you as thats not the way its meant to be taken but as all these things it raises a debate its intresing to find out the actual facts of this drug for all and the acual stats of cases thats gone wrong. once again its just a thought please dont be offended by these thoughts love kelly and tia xxx
