ok very very confused here
as you all know rosze has been spayed yet she is bleeding?? why and how?
i would now say it started 3 days ago we found spots of blood here and there but because they were tiny we put it down to the cats bringing stuff in of course all animals were checked and nothing on them, didnt even think to check the dogs bits as all have been done.
anyway tonight rosze jumped onto the sofa with melissa and left blood on her so i took her to the kitchen (rosze not melissa..lol) and done the tissue test and there was blood on it???
does anyone have a clue why? she is ok in her self im not worried about her health but i persume im going to the vets on monday with this if no-one can give me a clue or has heard of a spayed dog bleeding??
thx clair x

How long ago was she spayed Clair? Are you sure is vaginal bleeding? (Tried the tissue test?? (Yes, I reread your post and I see you have.)) Interesting, because I have another bitch bleeding at the moment in Ireland! If it is vaginal bleeding then I would have to wonder at the sucess of the spaying. Can you count back from her last season, were she NOT spayed, could it be near the correct time?
Pyometra should not happen in a spayed bitch, unless of course the op was botched. But Pyometra is not the only infection. But but also, without wanting to worry you, there is always the remote possibility of a growth. So you really do need to be talking to your vet. The chances on it being serious is only slight, so dont go panicing. But it is a slight risk which you need to eliminate.
Regards, John
