My mum's old dog, Peppa, used to have to be dragged in too. I don't know which is worse - being hyper or refusing to go in! Mind you, I know how they feel - they must feel like we do when we have to go to the doctors or dentists!! Wink

Huds is all cocky and full of himself when he gets to the waiting room - the door opens and the vet calls his name... the breaks go on and you have to drag him along the thankfully slidey floor!!!!!!!!

The floor is really slidy in there, isn't it?! Belle was flat on her tummy for a lot of the time on Friday. Never noticed before, as I have always carried her........

Hi Jen,

I'm sure you did apply the frontline on Belle ok. We asked our vet nurse about frontline as we apply it every 2 months and one time Jess had got a tick within this time. She said that frontline will kill fleas for 2 months but only kills ticks for up to one month. This year Jess hasn't had any ticks latch on, which is just lucky I'm sure (!) but last year she had loads in the summer. Our vet said we could apply the frontline monthly if she was getting lots of ticks. I think we only did this once whilst on holiday in the Lake District as she picked up about five! I don't really like the thought of applying such strong chemicals monthly. I'd check first with your vet or vet nurse for frontline applications to a puppy.

I forgot to mention today that the vet nurse tends to use the largest tick remover in the pack.

Hope Belle is feeling better Very Happy

Morag and Jess

Thanks for all the advice about Frontline. Mum told me that too, and she applies it regularly to her dogs. I will ask the vet about application to Belle when I go for her 6 month check-up.

Belle is better today, but I am in the process of changing her food and she's not as smelly either....hee-hee.......

Jen.
