after finally thinking things were getting better with Vogue, then this morning as I was getting out the car (she sits in the footspace of the navigator seat) she started limping (left hind paw) at first lifting her foot off the ground then putting it down but avoiding putting weight on it, so after work i popped into the vets (who know us well now) and although were fully booked managed to squeeze us in very quickly, and after a full leg examination I was told she had bruised her cruicate ligament (thankfully not ruptured) She has been perscibed Rimadyl for a full stomach only 2 a day (50mg tablets) for a week then a little more exercise and if she's no better they want to do xrays.
I think the dogs and I have some kind of curse at the moment, poor lil vogue.
on another note while i was waiiting to be seen another lab was leaving and the vets reccomended wafcol salmon and potato, no idea what for but I thought I'd mention it as they are sponsored by royal canin so wasnt in their interest.

Sorry to hear Vogue has a poorly leg, maybe she strained it last night when she was missing for a while?, hope the meds work and she`s back to full health soon.
Hope the Lab owners took note of what you said to them Anna, I think vets are too quick to "recommend" these foods, mostly because they sell them!

Hope the curse gets lifted soon.
I tried the wafcol diet version for my boys and it went down very well but I have opted to try for CSJ Command instead but would happily try the Diet wafcol again for them.

Hi Anna
So sorry to hear about Vogue's latest trip to the vets. She really is having a tough time at the moment, and it must be really upsetting for you.
Please give her a cuddle and kiss from us.

HI anna
Sorry to hear about Vogue, just one word ok a few about her ligament, hershey bruised his cruciate Ligament and he was on Rimadyl but labs being labs he had a mad half hour upstairs and we couldnt stop him he Jumped onto the Bed to avoid us and then turned around and Jumped off and snapped his already damaged Ligament, Resulted in an operation and weeks on Rimadyl and low intensity walks. He is ok now more or less but vet has said that sooner rather than later he will get arthritis in his joint due to the operation. So keep her as calm as you can dont let her have any mad half hours if she does us anthing you can to stop her so she doesn do anymore damage.
Hope vogur recovers quickly
