Any news on hudson's lump?
Ida's are still there but I think they aren't getting any bigger now! I've made a follow up appointment for Saturday at the vet with the theory that, if I make an appointment, then the lumps will disapear between now and then! She is now on day 3 of AB's so I guess if it is an infection, they should be starting to kick in. In herself, she seems bright and bouncey.
I emailed Echo's 'Mum' and got her to feel Echo's face to see if she still has her lump that she developed in a similar place to Ida's and at a similar age and she did find a small 'ballbearing-sized one there - I'm sure it must be a gland! Bloomin' vets...surely they should know?!!
Went back to vet last night... lump is definetly smaller and less firm, he says more like a grain of rice now. He does not know what it is... but again said it's not teething related!!!
I'm still not convinced, but as Huds is not bothering it... and it seems smaller - I agree. Then we are going to leave it alone!
Will be curious to see what your vet says.... I wasn't brave enough to say "there are at least two other pups his age on the lab forum with it"
Edit to add: he seemed to think that Hudson had somehow hit himself on something. He is a clutz... so it's not a way out there theory.

Ida and I went back to the vet this morning to get her lumps felts again! They aren't any worse and semed to have gone down slightly (although maybe I've just gotten used to her lop-sided grin and warty-hog appearence!!)
Anyway, we saw a different vet, and I explained the LF theory of what was wrong (!) going by the other lumpy lab-pups on LF and she agreed that it was most likely connected to the 2 large back teeth that are coming down and possibly her saliva glands running amock due to teething. So there you go! Between us all I'd say we were dead on!
The vet thought Ida was lovely, being a labby person herself and in return, Ida though the vet was lovely and thoroughly enjoyed playing 'poke my gums' with her! She demonstrated to the vet how she can wag her tail from the shoulders down and weighed in at 23kgs.
No need to go back unless she seems bothered by her gums and teeth in which case the vet will do a perscription for some anti-inflamatories, but I don't think she'll need that.
I'm pleased! And Ida should resume her charming good looks in due course!
