hello, my name is debbie and i'd like to say hello and show you our lovely new pup, meg. she's 9 weeks old and we've had her for just 2 weeks, she flew jetstar from sydney to the sunshine coast and did really well.
it took her about 4 days to come round and now she's a fully fledged member of our family and quite naughty too! i can say that ive well and truely fell in love with her though even when she's eating every [plant in my garden!
looking forward to chatting and getting some good tips!!
Welcome Debbie and Meg! Meg is gorgeous Hope to see some more pictures soon (we love piccies here )
Oh and I recommend subscribing to the forum, as you cannot make more than 10 posts if you don't subscribe, and you can make a photo album for Meg once subscribed
Hi Debbie and Meg, welcome to LF , hope you`ve checked out which if any of the plants in your garden may be poisonous to dogs, there are quite a few in the UK so imagine there will be in Oz as well.
Also of course you have the possibilty of some nasty snakes and spiders there
Meg is gorgeous, must be every Labs dream to have their very own pool to swim in!!
thank you for the warm welcome and for the advice on subscribing katie.
as for checking out plants here in aus, well i'm trying but not having much success. the ones i type in, never come up on the poison list so that can only be a good thing, although a couple of dayds ago, she was eating bits that had fell from one of the palms and had the runs a bit later that day, dont know if they were the problem or it could have been the dead bird she found, the spider she played and eat, or the halfa a dozen stones she divulged!!!
katie, notice youre in perth, do you know of any poison natives i should be worried about?
Sorry Debbie, not sure about the poisonous plants list Bad mummy I am But Ruby doesn't have free run of the part of the backyard that has plants, so I don't need to worry as much as others (that's my excuse and I'm sticking to it!! )
Mary, despite what nature shows project, not everyone has snakes just roaming their garden (we do have kangaroos and koalas roaming though... just kidding!! ) I suppose those who live in the bush out in the middle of nowhere are at a higher risk.
