Queen had a small mammary tumour removed two weeks ago today. She recovered quickly after the surgery.
The lab report confirmed that it was a slow-growing cancer, and that it had all been removed. We have to observe her lymph glands every so often and check for future lumps although it isn't likely to recur.
The vet discovered the lump at her annual check-up, and I asked them to biopsy it as a precaution. That showed atypical cells, and after discussion during which I said I would never take risks with their health, we decided to remove it immediately. Thank heaven I made that decision!
Queen looks forward to a long and healthy, happy future.
Thats smashing news !! We have been through the saga of finding mammary tumours, it's a very difficult time not knowing what the results show etc, but I am really very glad that Queenie is well and that they got the nasties out hope she continues to stay lump free
