Coco, the puppy, I chose didn' t have one! But the puppy I took home did!

I suppose Coco's in nowhere near as bad as some I have seen and IMHO doesn't harshen her expression as the photo proves.

So, to the uninitiated in such matters (sorry for sounding totally thick here) it's the shape of unusual hair growth that causes the parting?

TBH, I can't see it being a bad thing as much as a design feature. I'm sure that it wouldn't help when showing but I've seen models with worse partings Laughing

Hi,

Basil has one and I never thought it to be genetic as his parents didn't have one but Lucy's Ria does and they are cousins so I guess it could be hereditry?

Basils has faded a lot with age and is now much fainter than your pics of Coco and Ria (both beauties BTW Smile ) I agree with Lucy you do start looking at all other labs once you notice the zipper - I think both Ria and Coco have comparatively faint zippers IMO.
Personally, I like them - but i do agree that really strong ones can look a little harsh.

Smile

Horizontal ones are worse for making the expression harder, as they look like a constant 'frown' of sorts.
