congratualtions he looks lovely. I got my second dog at 5 months and he took to the crate no problem I treated him every time he went in and he never protested for long when we closed him in for the night bar 5mins of whining. He still sleeps in it for night times but we are going to put it away this week as he is getting to big and has been a very good boy about the house anyway.
Awww what a handsome young man!!, good to hear 3 out of the 4 boys have found LF members as owners, now wondering where the 4th one went!!
As Becs said, feed Ivor in his crate, give him treats in there, make it a comfy plce to be, he`ll soon learn that he can go there for some time on his own if he wants it, specially if you have kids, be sure that they know that Ivor`s crate is his "room" and he`s not to be disturbed when in it
You can def crate train him at 5 months. My foster girl is 19 months can never been in a crate, and I have her crate trained now.
I out him in the crate last night and he cried to get out ~ I didn't wanna force the matter as it was his first night home so I slept on the couch and he slept on the other couch ~ so much for all the strict rules *G*
welcome handsome! i put scoobys bedding in the tumble drier for 5 mins before bed time so its warm and snug and put a thick duvet over ther top so its a bit more enclosed, hope this helps
