Hi everyone, my names Tony Moss, I've had labradors & Border collies all my life.
Over the past 2 years I've sadly lost both of my old codgers, Collie Max went 2 years ago, then my black lab Enson last year. both were just over 15 yrs old.
At the age of 12 Enson lost the use of his back legs, being still young at heart for a 12 yr old we took him twice a week for hydro therapy, after a few sessions the old boy as back on his feet causing mayhem once again. he enjoyed swimming so much we took him every week up to about a month before we lost him.
I'm not sure if its the right time for me to think about having another pup yet, i still miss the old boys very badly, however the house is very empty, no mess and mayhem.
I'm hoping this forum will help me find a selection of good breeders with a proven track record.
Along with advice and chat with other members.
I have pictures of Enson at hydro therapy along with samira the lion cub, in the gallery at www.phase2discos.co.uk

Hi everyone, thank you all for such a warm welcome.
Many thanks to Sheena & Fudgey for all the breed club info i found my last Lab through the united retriever club but im completely out of touch with all the clubs and organisations nowdays so you info is a great help.
Sorry to Rach, Danny & Jake for the faulty link (been messing about with the web site. Note to self -dont fiddle with things i dont understand)
hopefully it should be working ok now
i've been looking through all your photos on LF and i must say what a good looking bunch of tail waggers.
Hi Tony and welcome to LF, I`m sorry to hear about losing your old boys, its so hard that they don`t live the same length of time that we do.
I had 4 dogs a few years back and lost 3 in 5months, went for a year before getting another, have to say I wouldn`t do that again, Cindy (Westie) got to used to being an only dog, she still thinks CJ is only here on a temporary basis I think
As the others have said you`ll know when the time is right and personally I think the fact that your asking means it probably is, by the time you`ve found a breeder who is due to have a litter etc, could be anything up to 4/6 months before you have another furbaby
