Hi, New to this site. Lots of good information.

I have a gorgeous, crazy black lab called Mollie. She is 9 months old. We bought her in January when Gypsy our 15 year old German shepard had to move up to doggie heaven.

Turned our house inside out, eats plants (only new ones though as they must taste sweeter), door frames, garden furniture is a favorite of hers. Mollie lives with 2 black cats, peacefully most of the time.

We are having trouble stopping her weeing at night. We take her water off her at around 6PM, but most mornings our kitchen floor has a gallon of wee as a gift. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

She keeps us happy though with her comical character and love.

I will post some photos when I work out how.

Hello and welcome.
With regard to the overnight peeing. Is it every night? What time is her last let out to toilet? What time do you let her out in morning? If there is no medical reason I have heard some dogs do it because of seperation anxiety. Also they do sometimes do this around season time or at least my old Bullie did.

Hi & welcome to Lf Very Happy Very Happy

If she has always wet at night ...have you ever crated her?

This might help as they don't usually wet in their bed!

Also what do you wash the floor with? as some things can encourage a dog to go there .....try biological washing powder in a solution or simple solution from the pet shop.

Hi All

She has done this since having her, just not as much as she does lately. She is out by 6AM and last out around 10-11PM. Her 1st season is due any day now so there could be something in that idea. she doesnt seem to drink a lot either.
My wife has got into the habit of letting her out around 3, 4 AM but this cannot continue (doesn't always work anyway) as I think she will rely on this. She is only on her own at bedtime as my wife doesn't work
I hate the idea of a cage. Having read Marley & Me (if you haven't you must) I reckon she would also tear it apart.....
She is due for a check up soon so we'll persevere and see what the vet can suggest if it continues....Its a small price to pay though...Thankfully its not the solid stuff - often.

Whats your opinions on introducing another puppy (golden) as a playmate?
