gutted my cameras broke!!! nooo!!

im so upset the battery light was flashing up and the camera so i bought new batteries and it still wont work! 3 weeks b4 christmas and a puppy! and i cant take photos!!! any one know of a decent camera that doesnt cost the earth! as it will now go on christmas list!!

silly question i know but are you sure they are not duff batteries?? Also i had this happen once because my memory card wasnt inserted right - dont ask me why it affected battery meter i dont have a clue!

What camera is it?

What memory card does it take?

As above, it could actually be a faulty card, or it could be that the camera is too "cold" try to format the card, or a new card, then try the camera after it has been warmed (dont put it in the micro!) somewhere warm will do, ie under a cushion or something.

Cameras and batteries dont like cold! (mind neither do I!)

its a kodak easy share c340, sd 1gb memory card i had it a year ago and it was reconditoned if i remember rightly it was the battery compartment that was re-coned,
