Fingers crossed, Jill - When I had Grouse's hips done the vet asked me if he should do the elbows as well now that he was on the table anyway. I (stupidly) said no but have now regretted it Sad He would have done it for an extra £20 so here I am today kicking myself...

See if the vet will let you be there when they do the x-ray. I was there with Grouse and it was very interesting to see how important it is to get the dog in the right position with ABSOLUTELY straight hips Shocked

Well we're back.

Yes Natasha I go in with her and even help position her for the hips but was interested to see how the elbows were done (even if the vet thought the same as me that they are a bit of a waste of time).

Do not want to say too much, but he is usually reasonably close in his scoring, but it could be very good news indeed cheers cheers which probably makes my mind up for me on whether to keep a bitch from my next litter, but I will wait for the BVA to do there stuff Cool .

Hope all went well Jill, take it they will give you an indication on the xrays which will be a comfort. I too am a doubting Thomas as regards elbows. I do them....now.... but don't support it as I do the hip and eye schemes.

I use someone who allows me in to hold the dog and position it with her too, so its interesting how they do elbows, a bit of tugging and pinning down needed when its not under GA as I have it done Wink

Really good luck.
Di
