Ok so I talk a good game but when it comes down to it am a hopelessly bad example of a vigialent breeder
I have: Shine: Just coming up 9 months, mum had her first season at just coming up 9 months.
Mallie: Picks and chooses when she comes in, simply uses seasons as a trump card to keep her amused and entertained when the other girls MIGHT be considering a season, she shuts her eyes and wills herself in before them just to stamp authority on the situation, even, famously, if she has only been in 4 months ago as per last time round Her grandmother was just the same. Her mother was nice.
Jade: Has pups of nearly 5 months old, is the vague bumbling sort who may already have forgotten she had pups last season and thinks she just needs to go the usual 5/6 months so drifts along merrily with a diary in one hand (pink and sparkly) and a Tena Maxi in her handbag 'just in case'.
So, because I like to know where I am (ha bloody ha) Shine, Jade and Mallie have white sheets on their beds at the moment in the dog room.
Mallie is being mated (don't tell her) this season, so extra care is needed to watch when shes comes in. So last night they all go to bed as normal but for some crazy reason I decide to trust Shine and leave her cage door open for once. Go in this morning and there is blood not in one bed but ALL THREE!
Splendid. Easy of course, just 'dab them with a white tissue and you will like magic, have your answer'. All three clean as whistles and all staring into space before when asked directly frantically point at each other and then walk off whistling to themselves.
Ancient but keen 'Bitch barometer' Dylan walks between them muttering and groaning and then turns to me with a knowing expression and says 'Did I ever tell you when I was a lad......' and then walks off before he finishes his sentence (hes going a bit senile ...)
Deeds opens one eye and says 'who cares till they are shaggable?'
Castrated Rusty says 'Whats for breakfast?'
5 month old Bryson says 'Whats a season?' and when explianed by Uncle Deeds says 'Urrrrrrrggggh thats DISGUSTING!' and walks off.
So only time will tell. That'll teach me DO NOT try this at home should you be waiting for your bitches season to mate her!

Ah, but how much easier if they all come in at once Di
I had Xena in season, then the very minute she finished Talla started bleeding. Umpteen weeks of juggling bitches to avoid the totally thick Golden, who likes to dance about and bark at them through the bars in the vague hope that we might let them out so he can hump their heads. And Talla likes to make us think there's been a massacre during the night
