Arr, but it was the summer Nicola. She dont stay that way long in the winter. By the time she's ploughed through the mud a few times, and the guns have used her front wings as a table. . . . . . . . . .

I'm seeing a doctor to get an arm and a leg amputated later today Eve.

Unfortunately no Mary. They never changed the date from when it started. It's still vehicles made before (I think) 1972 so the old girl will never get there Sad Series 2 Landrovers and early Series 3's make it but all 90's, starting in I believe 1984 are at best 12 years too late. I must say I would like a Series 2. I was offered one last year, but too much needed doing on it.

Regards, John

You know, I have loved hearing about Landy, John. My old gramps used to have a 110 and I loved riding in it - it had vents in the front dash and if he went fast enough the wind used to blow crusty old leaves into your face, the seats squeeked and he had an old tin under the passenger seat with sweets in it Laughing

Ahhhh those were the days Crying or Very sad

Just as an aside, and talking of elderly vehicles, meet my old girl Very Happy

Unfortunately, she is no good in the mud, and decidedly tail happy in the wet, but great fun and can hold her own very well Wink She is 26.

John

I just checked the tax situation for you - and you are right vehicles constructed before 1 January 1973 are exempt.

How stupid is that? I thought that when it was introduced it was meant to be for cars over 25 years old so that people who have classic cars for Rallies did not have to tax 2 vehicles - but the way it has been done people will have to pay for their classic cars as time goes on.....

If its any help - you can loan one of my arms, the interest rate is competitive!!!
