Hi Bailey has had a few hot spots lately and has has several lots of AB'S but i have noticed he now has a rash type thingy on the inside of his back leg, then another rash a bit further along and a big spot on his rude bits, does anyone have any ideas? could it be the AB'S or an allergy or just a nettle rash maybe? pls have a look at the pic as any advice would be great. thanks Sarah and Bailey
Oyster used to get red patches like that and yellow headed spots if I washed her bedding in Biological washing powder, or if I put softener in by mistake. Have you changed what you wash his bedding in?
could the ingredients in the washing powder (or even shampoo - if he's been bathed recently) changed?
my son is allergic to washing powder so i use soapnuts for all of his washing and now the pets too! fab things once you get the hang of using them! and all totally natural. i gave some to mum in law who's dog also gets hotspots and similar rashes (his are usually around where is furry plums would be if he had them still), and it cleared them up!
I am sorry Sarah but this reply will be of no use whatsoever - I recall chatting to someone with a dog who suffered from hot spots and rashes like your bailey (mines a mog!). She had this magic product that she rubbed on which resolved the problem - like your Bailey the vets products did not resolve the issue and they even had skin scrapes and all sorts done.
Actually, whilst writing I have had a thought - I think someone said that Aloe Vera cream was very good so you could try that, i think Holland and Barrett sell it.
this other cream was pink and was meant to be brilliant for all sorts... will rack my obviously very feeble brain to see if I can come up with something else...
Definitely not germolene. it might be neem cream. I know that it was brilliant cream useful for all sorts of minor injuries spots bald patches where they licked the hair away....
It could well be neem cream actually but I am not 100% sure
