Morris 16 weeks was sick last night at 5pm. After puppy training at 8.15pm he had a soft poo followed by quite liquid poo. Didn't seem anything wrong, slept all night and this morning had perhaps just a handful of sick (I think!) in his crate, which he has never done before.
I am in the process of changing his food from Beta to JWB and have only noticed a difference in poos going from very firm to soft, could this be it? It may also be that he has picked up something from our garden, I'm not sure, although did not notice this.
He seems a bit under the weather, not so bouncy and a little quieter
although is crying a bit for his breakfast now. Do I miss all his feeds today, help please, this is the first time he has been poorly and I'm worried
It could be a combination of things - the food change, picking something up, excitement at the training (quite often my boys have runny poos if they are excited i.e. on a GT etc.)...
Do you have anything bland in to give him, like chicken and rice or pasta or even scrambled eggs (or a combination of...)? I would give him some bland food today rather than missing meals and see how he goes...
Hi, i would say it is most likely his food change, kust while his tummy re-adjusts to digesting the new food. It should settle on it's own.
A lot of people here suggest cooking them plain rice and chicken but personally I think that just adds another different food for them
Some might say starve him for a day too.
If it was me, I would just carry on with the new food progression, feed him as normal today and see how he is tomorrow - especially as he is hungry.
If i was sick I wouldnt want to be starved for 24hours
If it continues through to tomorrow then i might try something different.
I agree with Sarah. In this case there are too many variables. To deign food when the problem could just be excitement would be needless, so I'd carry on as normal until you get more to go on. In fact I rarely take action the first time a dog, particularly a puppy, is sick. One off occurrences are often just chucking out something which did not agree with them and are not repeated.

Thanks for that folks, have just fed him breakfast, so will wait and see, worrying though isn't it, just like when your child is poorly!
I just looooove your picture Sarah, it makes me smile each time.

Yes it is, very worrying. Has he been wormed at all recently? Sometimes worming can knock them off for a day or two.
Smaller amounts of food at regular intervals may be the way to go for a day or two.
Also you could try soaking his food with boiled water (then allow to cool) to make it more digestible until his tummy settles.
