Hi from kristian and Leeanne.
We have not yet got our ickle puppy yet, we are counting down the days till we can bring him home......4 sleeps to go!!!
We will be picking him up as early as possible on Saturday morning. Kristian has spent the day walking round the house on a puppy level to see what needs moving!!!
Prepareation is going well, the crate is on its way and we have a bag full of toys...including a Kong.
Bit concerned at the food, he is currently on Beta Puppy, but been told to chang any suggestions?
Learnt loads from the forum already, looking forward to sharing stories.
The breeder has sent us some piccies .
I wouldn't change his food over straight away - coming away from his mum and littermates will be stressful enough for him, so try to keep as many constants in his life as possible for the first few weeks at least...
One of the guys who works for Kristian also works at Pets At Home.
He seems to be under the impression that Beta isn't the best for the puppy. We were going to stick with his original feed anyway, but obviously being novices, we're considering all advice given..
Incidently, no idea why the pictures aren't working
If you decide to change then it's best to do it over the course of a week, increase the new food bit by bit.
We changed from the Purina too on to James Wellbeloved. Burns is really popular around here too. Best to do your research and see what you want from the food. There is so much choice its bewildering!!
The way we chose was based on ethics, quality, price and availability.

Hi and Welcome, sounds like you are all organised! Pud was on Beta when he came home, I changed it over when he was about 5 months - mainly because he was quite fussy and would often skip meals - i then got into the habit of adding 'something nice' such as ham or chicken! I swapped Pud on to pedigree because it was more readily available but he went on to Burns at the end of last year and is doing great on it - never misses a meal (despite no extras! ).
Seb is a great name - I have a gorgeous godson called Seb!
There is a great food debate here as you've no doubt found out! I would agree do your research decide what you want to try and then I would buy a small bag and change him over very gradually - if you do it too fast you are likely to end up with an upset tummy - and take it from there.
