Hi all

Was very sad to learn that chobham common is lead only currently - as your dog magazine published a great route this month that I was thinking we might use.

Can peeps come back to me on whether they would like to meet this weekend or join the devils punchbowl meet - or even both!

In terms of venue we can either move to Frensham Ponds which is a great place for labbies and I think all the blue/green algae has gone from the pond now or we can meet at Horsehoe lake which is near to me - made from reclaimed gravel pits and is a water sports centre. There is a walk along the river blackwater and I think it is a lovely lovely place. E often go for walks there in the summer because it is nice and shaded. Walks can be as long or as short as we want - anything from 20 mins upwards and if we take a slight detour there is a great green where we can sit and chat and the dogs can romp.

There is not usually a problem with car parking...

Votes please!

Would like to meet up but now have a prob with 11am as my mum is in hospital and should need collecting around that time so, I will go the following week to Punchbowl

Pam - the time can be altered to suit everyone, it was only a suggestion but I think that if your mum is coming out of hospital then you will want to spend the day with her irrespective of what time any meet was.

Horsehoe lake is situated on a back road near Yateley in Hampshire. Best way to find it is to find J4a of M3 then the A30 which is nearby and then it is just down from there...

It is a lovely spot to go for a dog walk actually... PM me if you want further directions

Your right Eve I will be unable to truly relax and yet Barney would benefit greatly from a romp with other dogs.
I will leave it this week and join the others on the 21st if that is OK, but is you live in my local maybe we could arrange a walk with the dogs at some point soon.

I look forward to going to Horsehoe lake as Barney loves water

Pam

I think as most of the places seem to closed or lead only due to foot and mouth we are better off cancelling this one and hopefully reinstating the Virginia Waters venue when foot and mouth is but a dim and distant memory....

If anyone wants to meet up this weekend pm me and we can arrange something...
