Walk away now and find another litter where BOTH parents are hip scored and eye tested.

I can help you find one if you like- pm me if you want or phone Jean Quinn on 01324 851352 (she's the LRC Scotland puppy list coordinator).

Remember, it's not just about doing the right thing on paper - a dog with hip problems WILL cost you a fortune and cause masses of heartache. Do everything you can NOW before you spend your money to ensure the best chance of not having any problems.

Errr . . . . . .

We have a select group of black, yellow and chocolate brood bitches bred from generations of proven bloodlines. Whilst they're not given to posing, the pair on the right did kindly agree, to give you an indication of the quality from which we breed!

How can you tell quality from a picture of a pair of dogs?

Walk away..............there are so many well bred Labradors that there really is no need to resort to buying from un-health tested parents.....

Here is a list of Lab Breed Clubs, I'm not sure what area you are in, you may have said in a previous post Confused ;

Cots & Wyevern - Mr Karl Gawthorpe 01932 874539
East Anglian LRC - Mrs Janet Cole 01354 680375
Kent, Surrey & Sussex LRc - Mrs Karen Walsh 01483 797653
LRC Scotland - Miss N Farquharson 01382 459099
Lab Club - Mr Arwyn Ellis 01766 522146
LRC Northern Ireland - Mrs M Hughes 028 92 63803
LRC Wales - Mrs M Barker 01443 842585
Midland Counties LRC - Mrs Julia Lewis 01484 680123
North West LRC - Mrs Maureen D'Arcy 01254 264177
Northumberland & Durham LRC - Mr Paul Smith 01642 292965
Three Ridings LRC - Pat Gill 01943 467926
West of England LRC - Gordon Fox 01566 785121
Yellow Lab Club - Sussie Wiles 01895 823227

I know it's not easy having to wait for a pup once you've made a decision to get one, but it is something you could regret for a few years possibly.....there is no excuse for not hip/elbow scoring Labradors, it really is not that much money to spend (especially as they have had several litters out of her already Rolling Eyes ) to give some kind of peace of mind

Walk away - some of their statements regardling health testing and dog colour are decidedly dubious too!!

Where are the bitches and their pedigrees? They can show piccies of stud dogs but not the bitches? Sounds to me like an up market.....

Good on you for walking away - hope your other thread on yellow puppies in scotland throws you up some good ideas and starting points.
