a breeder who am keen to buy a pup from has just said the dad hip score is 2 .5 eyes clear .but the mam isnt hip scored she is 7 years old and this is her last litter .every thing else seemed perfect . please advice sue
Hi, I had a look at the website of the breeder you were refering to in your other post.
On the website they clearly state all breeding dogs are hip scored and eye tested, obviously this is not the case from your post above, but the breeder knows they should be, the fact the dam has had previous litters and still hasn't been scored makes me a little suspicious Is it possible the scores were done, and not as good as they should be, it seems strange to test all breeding stock bar this one bitch

has they didnt have mums hip score i ask for her parents hip and eye score he said the mums farther was hip scored 2 .5 still no mention about the females
Sorry to be negative but on seeing they have a Red Stud Dog I couldn't resist watching the video. Very clever editing - you never actually see it find and retrieve .
I've had a quick scan of the breeders site and I think its misleading that they say all their bitches are hipscored when it clearly isn't the case. Also, why do they say that in black bitches, the elbow scores are more important than the hip scores? Am I reading it wrong? Puzzled!
I think its a case of 'could do better' which probably isn't what you want to hear.

Ohhh..I had to have a look to after that comment and you're right- bless him- he didn't find a single dummy or fillet steak or whatever it was they were lobbing about for him! In fact he had the look of me about him when I can't remember where I put my handbag! Lovely colour her was though!
