She's actually a Chocolate Lab Husky mix. I hope that's OK that's I am still posting here. Although I have noticed some husky traits, she has a lot of the Labbishness I remember from my former labs.
Little bit about Mayze. Her father is a Purebred Chocolate Lab. Beautiful dog Reminded me a little more of a Newfoundland than a lab, but I think it was his very broad face and his size that did that. Her mother is a Purebred Husky. I honestly don't know much about Huskies, other than people telling me that it is a good mix. I plan on researching that in a bit.
Right now, we are working on potty training. What I am most surprised at is that she will NOT mess in her crate what-so-ever. It is a large crate that will be the perfect size when she is full grown, so I expected some mess when I am away at school (I am gone for 4 hours at the most). The house is another story. After last night, I have decided to do total confinement (crate at night and when I am gone and have her in whatever room I am in. during the day... crating on occasion. I am also working on making the crate a happy place to be. I do not want her to dread it. You know?
Anyway, I Am glad to have found this site and I definately have more to share. As for now... it's potty time
