Ok, so the threads dont get confused here is another thread. This time in Corsham/Westrop. If you go into the town there is a carpark round the back of the estate agents on the corner. Round the back of there is a huge plot of land. And if you keep walking inwards there is a lovely lake. (Unless anyone knows a better way to get in as I only found it by accident!) Now the last time I went there it was full of sheep so I didnt want to risk it. but you can still take your woofs there if they arent bothered by them. Anyway, I will have a look to see if they are still going in there as they arent always there.
I can do anyday during school hours.

I can also do most days. The only thing I have an issue with is that Bo has no real experience of livestock. There are a lot of cows right near us and I never walk him offlead when they're around, he looks too interested . Don't know if he would chase them but don't want to find out tbh. So if there are any sheep in the vicinity of this lake then I wouldn't want him offlead just in case.
Have just spoken to a friend from Corsham. She says that they have made a new carparking area along on the Lacock Rd on the right going away from Corsham. Apparently they've opened up the wall opposite and you can get to it that way. She said beware of the geese and of the swans too as they can be quite vicious and chase you.
Another nice walk she says is at Slaughterford, theres a steam for swimming or a small lake. Have you been Sonia?
Just got back from the lake, and the sheep were there but at the other end (where the best part of the lake is ) but Doobs still managed to get in the lake. and yes, there is a really bolshyswan there - trying to bully Doobs! He was having none of it though and almost jumped on him! lol But Doobs only did that to show he was not going to be scared off by a swan. But he is a nasty swan though!
Anyway, I think thats where I usually try and park Sally, although its full when I go so park on the opposite side of the road.
I think, until the summer is over, we should look for somewhere else for a meet up. Not been to Slaughterford - where's that?
Go right at the Cross Keys pub in Corsham at the crossroads towards Biddestone. Go through Biddestone til you come to the sharp right bend where their cricket pitch is. Don't go round bend go straight and then take first left.
These directions are exactly as were given to me. I've never been but my friend goes and takes her dog swimming there. Has anyone got time to go and check it out? I could possibly go tomorrow or Thurs or shall we just risk it and be adventurous?
lol I dont mind meeting up tomorrow/Thurs morning (depending what time Denise is coming down). It will have to be about 12 noon though as I have a delivery coming 9 - 11am. Will bring Doobs or Finlay I think.
Actually, I might bring Mills! She will be excited and make lots of silly noises when she first meets Bo, but when she has calmed down i reckon she will be good after that. I will pm you my mobile number, but shall we make it Thurs morning? This will give Sparky time to see of if she logs on soon.
