Back again....

I have just seen this on the More Than Website:

Does cover under my pet care insurance have a time limit?

No. Unlike some policies, which limit treatment to within 12 months, MORE TH>N pet insurance will continue to support your claim for as long as the treatment takes, up to £7,000 whilst you remain insured with us.

In idiot terms (Kirkie) does that mean if your dog got an illness such as Diabetes they will only pay up to £7000 for treatment of that illness. When the £7000 has been used you can't claim for that illness again even if it takes 3 years? Ans no other company would touch you with a barge pole as your dog has an illness...

Just read it and it is a good article, it is what I have been saying - need to make sure you know what you are getting and what is covered.

so far as the diabetic example is concerned once the limit has been used up thats it no more money ever again. But if you have lifetime cover then you get that sum each year but the difference between the two is with per condition you get the llimit for each condition - arthritis, diabetes, pancreatitis, accident and for lifetime cover you get it each year £3000 in yr1 £3000 yr2 £3000 etc

Have you made any decisions yet??!

I am still with my free 6 week KC, but have agreed to go with More Than from the 1st October....I hope I have done the right thing. He has his 1st appointment on Tuesday with the vet so might see what they say too...I do have a 14 day cooling off period from the day the policy starts I believe..

At least you have a decision Kirkie and he is covered which is the most important thing...

Though I have a feeling that the vet won;t want to make a recommendation as such....
