which is best?
I have found some lovely reasonably priced collars and they come in the standard normal leather collar, and one that is sort of double leather so mroe padded, which would you go for?
does anyone use normal leather collars on their dogs? or do people only go for padded?
I use double layered leather collars for Ruby all the time - I did get her a padded one once and that was good too. I think its persoanl preference really
I like leather..infact I REALLY like leather.... It must stem from all that tack cleaning in my horsey days.
I much prefer leather collars to fabric ones, although saying that, all three of my girls have soft cotton ones on now. They all have leather ones for "best" though. Mojo's is a padded one, Oysters is a double sided one and Taras is a single soft leather one.
If it wasn't for the fact that two of mine wear Bioflow collars they would wear leather all the time.
I think its all down to personal preference... I love leather collars and leads (both padded and unpadded) and my boys have a couple of leather ones each, however I seem to only ever save these for best and when I know there's not going to be any water involved... if water is involved then its a nice nylon one (again I have both padded and unpadded). I haven't really found that the padding makes a difference personally.
