What a worry for you. I hope you get some better news today.
What's the treatment for her? Can she have calcium supplements?

Sorry to hear about Tia. I hope the vets can find out the exact problem soon and then start to treat her and get her better again.

Thank you everybody. We are waiting for the results of the more intensive tests - should be in by Tuesday. She seems otherwise fine, eating, drinking, etc. She seems to be having "funny turns" on the lead rather than off and when she is very excited, especially when she sees another dog and they seem to happen every other day, but that might be a coincidence. As far as I know they havent given her calcium supplements - I presume because she seems okay and they want the full rundown of her results before they will give her anything.

What a worry for you - hope Tia's problem can easily be sorted once diagnosed. It's so scary when you don't know whats going on.

Well just had results of bloods back from vet and everything seemed fine. The vet said to give another 10 days or so and see if she collapses again. I mentioned that the collapsing seems to happen on the lead and she said that if she pulls on it, it could press on her trachea which could cause her to collapse. The only thing is this has never happened before when she pulls. Well, its now a case of wait and hope that it doesnt happen again. Also now going to really persevere with a halti and see if using it all the time instead of a slip lead will make any difference. i have used a Canny Collar up till now but find it very fiddly. Thanks again to all your supportive replies.
