Had a bit of a scare at the weekend. We were walking Tia (nearly 3) and our other dog Daisy (spaniel) when Tia suddenly collapsed onto her back right leg. She didnt seem right at all and quite disorientated. We had only just got out of the car (which was air-conditioned) to walk round a country fair. She then went a bit stir crazy and just went round and round my leg and then yelled like a banshee! We tried to give her water but she didnt want to know. She then seemed to recover and was fine again. We dont know whether it was the heat. We had noticed something similar the day before but we thought she had slipped on something as we were walking down a steep slope. My immediate thought was her hips, but they have been tested and are 4:4. She seems okay today but I am considering taking her to the vets just for a check-up. I wonder if anyone has any thoughts.
