It is apparent that if you have a cheery, innocent face then sculldugery can be yours for the taking I am now in discussion with my team of legal experts ("Stop chewing that book on 'Law for Beginners' Ida and get reading!") as to whether to take this to the Eurpeaon Court of Human Rights
I can't comment any further as I've been contacted by a few of the Sunday Tabloids for the full and seedy, exclusive story
However, there WILL be a re-run of the race though in due course, once I have finished negotiating the rights with Sky and the BBC!

There has been a dramatic turn of events, it seems that the prosecution, under heavy pressure from the defence has retired to seek further legal advice on the case, there could be a major u turn about to happen on the prosecutions side,(See"free the sausage one " thread) as we speak (sorry write) becs is in heavy secret discussions with her legal team on what course of action she should now be taking, it is unprecedented at this stage for the prosecution to submit further evidence or change the charges, what is becs up to? (is she possibly trying to save her skin and reputation) the jury has been out now for 2 days and the verdict is looking like a landslide in bernies favour, are we now going to allow becs to come clean?, as she can now see there is no possible chance of winning this and coming out innocent, is this justice?, Does bernie want to sue for character deformation?, Our decision on this could well set a precedent for future sausage and spoon race results or indeed any Get Together competitions, I must as you all to consider this carefully before publishing your thoughts and opinions on where we go from here.
I'm off down the field now to try to teach my legal expert how to retrieve a tennis ball and practice a few natty little dance steps with her and then I shall take the stand in the LF court room with a new revelation
