Hi I am a new member and a new dog owner, well nearly. My husband Brett and I are going on holiday for 2 weeks in late September and have decided to get our dog when we get back rather than confuse it by bringing it home for a few weeks then leaving it for 2.
After a lot of thought and research we have decided on a black labrador from a very reputable breeder. We have named her Bella and she is at the moment 6 weeks old today.
Is leaving her with the mother (she will be 12 weeks old when we pick her up) a good idea?
I have soooo many questions I want to ask. I have been on the website for hours and learned so much. Thanks for the excellent information.

Hi Sam and welcom to LF.

In answer to your question, I think that if the breeder is happy to keep your pup for another 2 weeks, I would leave her there as it will be less confusing for her than to come home for a short while and then be left in someone elses' care. I'm sure the breeder will want what is best for the pup too. xx
