OMG you have no idea how nervous I was before it started... I'm sooooo not good with strangers, and there were what... 100 of you all standing there looking at me like I was supposed to know what was going on?!?
LMAO!!! But I soon lost the nerves and I gotta tell you, I had a BLAST doing it, I really enjoyed it. It looked like you were all having fun?

Winners:
(gosh I hope I have got these all right!!! Please correct me if I've mucked this up...)
Musical Sits: Sheerah with Paddy
Sausage and Spoon Round 1: Monya's son with Mylo
Sausage and Spoon Round 2: Sonja (Genic) [or was it your OH? I can't remember the human!! LOL] with Henry
Three-Legged Race: Becs and Crissi with Luna
Let Sleeping Dogs Lie: M with Bailey
Apple Bobbing: Every dog got as many carrots and apples as they wanted, and 18 people won prizes, sorry I can't remember who won what, but I hope you all enjoyed your prizes!

My darling hubby Charlie entered with Ozzie in Musical Sits and Apple Bobbing... Oz ate his fill of Carrots while standing in the middle of the pool getting in everyone else's way, and wouldn't pick up a ball no matter what Charlie tried!! LOL

Thank you so much to Natalie for the portable stereo for Musical Sits, and to Fay for the paddling pool for Apple Bobbing, much appreciated!!!

With the first game, Musical Sits, I was so disappointed that the participants apparently couldn't hear the music... I had a bunch of tracks loaded onto my iPod especially for Musical Sits and I guarantee you would have all laughed your heads off and bopped along to the tunes with a bit of dancing... but with the wind & rain on the day I guess you couldn't hear, so sorry about that but at least I didn't have to resort to singing for you, thank goodness the gramaphone thingy had a "music" button Very Happy Oh well, I'll keep the songs a secret for next year and try again then Smile

I had so much fun running it, and if most of you enjoyed it then I'd be happy to volunteer to do it again next year - feedback welcome!!
What games would you have had more of, what took too long, what was boring, what was the most fun to watch, were the prices right, did you enjoy the lucky dip prizes, what was your fave part, etc etc etc What would I do differently??

If I could do anything differently, I'd take photos, loads of them.... I didn't get a single photo of the Labralympics, and there were so many funny moments, it would have been great to capture them. Next year!!! I'll bring the underwater housing for the DSLR next year just to be on the safe side... too chicken to get it out in the rain Smile

Ness, you were so confident, anyone would think you did that kind of thing for a living and you were sooooo organised!!!!!! You are a star

And I would support you organising this event at all future GTs!!!!!! Wink

You did a fab job!! I thoroughly enjoyed taking part in a few of the games and watching the other ones!!!

The only thing i would change for next yr, is plz leave the squeaky out of distracting the dogs for 'let sleeping dogs lie', Alfie will ignore anything but squeaky toys Mad Laughing soon as you took the squeaky toy out, i knew we'd lost Laughing Laughing

Seriously though, i think all the games were great!!!! Look forward to you organising next years Very Happy

You looked like you did a fab job Ness! There were lots and lots of peeps gathered by you!
I'm really disappointed i didn't get to take part in any of it! Sad Sad I was behind with the agility, so the first practice run didn't go according to plan!
Please do it again next year so Me and Lucy can take part!! Very Happy

You did an amazing job organising all the games, Bailey really enjoyed the apple bobbing he must have eaten about 5 carrots + 1 apple and even managed to get a tennis ball! We are both really looking forward to next year. Very Happy
