While its freash in our minds, I thought it may be helpful to put some ideas about what we thought went particularly well this year and ideas for next year's GT? Hope I'm not being presumptuoius!!
Things I loved and want next year please!!!!!
1) Lab olympics......brilliant! Deffo need to hold onto mine and Crissi's 3-legged championship and I NEED another chance to come good in the sausage and spoon (damn those pesky, rolly-polly sausages!!)
Can we have it even bigger? Everyone enjoys it so much and Vanessa did a brilliant job in organising us rabble!!!
2) Photographer was fab....I went in with a £15 budget and ended up spending next week's housekeeping money! the kids will go hungry but well worth it!
3)Great having the Scouts catering - lovely food and fair prices.
4) Perfect venue. Can we go there again please?(even though I swear those horses tried to stampeed me!)
5) Great dog show as always. It would be interesting to have a more serious dog show maybe as well, with a commentry of what the judge is thinking (anyone brave enough!!!?) I would be fascinated to have a workshop about ringcraft....maybe on the night before so we could all practice our triangles and mincing run!!!)
6)Agility was excellent......looked really good fun and gave people a 'taster' about what its all about and it seems to have inspired people to go and try agility clubs with their dogs. What about some of the other dog-activities like heelwork to music, gundog training or obedience? Is there anyone on the forum who could run a workshop/have a go type thing next year
7) Raffle and side shows good as always. The kids entertainment seemed popular too (although I was taking shelter when that was on!)
Weather.....please can we order sun next year?!!!
And just to say thiank-you again to all those who worked so hard for our enjoyment.....Stars!!!!

hehe ditto ditto ditto
Also I needd a 100yard dash game - same orangy stuff as Linzi had in a corridor which is then ballooned to a circle
Dog is held at the end of the corridor and the treat/person/ball whatever the lure is in the fenced off circle.
Dog GO timer on and off when they get to the end of the corridor.
Obviously not a good one in the hot but I have seen it at Dogs Trust events and its fab!!!!!!
