  |
|
Poor Coal has got wet tail (or dead tail)
he can't wag his tail properly and this is caused by him being so wet and cold the other day at the GT and me being a bad mum and not drying him off properly etc. I feel awful
OH came running up stairs yesterday saying something really wrong with Coal and he'd had a stroke or something (bless him. he over reacted and panicked!)
But spoken to people and realised its condition know as Wet tail. so please can we have some LF healing vibes
ooooh and some for me if you have any spare as i've ended up with awful cough and cold from being so wet and cold!
from me and Coal (both feeling very sorry for ourselves)

Get well soon Sam and Coal ************************************************************
Cuddle up together with a hot water bottle, your fave treats and watch a good film.

from what i understand it can be caused by swimming lots in cold water or sleeping when damp/cold.
I **think** its got something to do with the muscles around the tail base and the blood vessels in the area contracting.
labs and other water loving breeds can be prone to it. It doesn't seem to be bothering him at all but can be quite painful for some dogs. he just looks so sad coz he can't wag! it should get better in a day or two.
i didn't know about it until i texted a friend and she recognised what it was from my description.
