it does get much better Very Happy

just think of it like this if you were going out to a party you wouldnt ignore everyone would you ?

Jansen loves going to training, it takes about 10 minutes now for him to calm down, i try to get there early and make him do some work before the class starts to get his brain going. HTH

Hi fiona

I have been posting a similar thread about Charlie who is on week 3 of training and have been receiving the same advice from probably all of the same people - Hi everyone Smile

The course that Charlie is doing is a foundation course for 6 weeks and I have decided to stick it out and then decide if it is worth carrying on or doing some 1-1 training. Our trainer told us on the first night that the first couple of weeks are the hardest.

I would give it another go - dont get too dishearten it appears to be the norm for some pups and hopefully it will get better.

We use hotdog sausages but when I did 1-1 training with Oscar (our other lab) there were times when he just wasnt interested in food Shocked and I used a squeeky toy which really grabed is attention.

Best of luck.

you guys are all awesome! Thanks for all the comments!

Am so glad (if you know what I mean) that Bosun pulled till his eyes went red! I thought it was just me!

Have searched for the Liver cake recipe and am going to go to the butchers on the way home tonight for something suitable. Looks like a foul recipe but hey ho if it works!!!

Smile
