Hello and welcome to you Carla. Mikey looks so lovely there on your knee. He'll soon be too big to do that.

Hi, and welcome to LF!

Mikey looks gorgeous and I'm sure he'll do you proud. You certainly don't need any advice about how to train Mikey to do taskwork as you have taught Molly so much. I would imagine that Mikey will be less inclined to guard you than Molly was because of the difference in breed. Labs seem to thrive on a lot of socialising as young pups to make them relly confident and comfortable in all situations, so I would suggest that you try to get Mikey used to as many different situations and environments as possible whilst he is still young. Is it possible for you to join a training class with Mikey? It would help increase the bond and be great for Mikey's socialisation skills.

Just a thought, but maybe it might be worth contacting DftD (they are close to you, based in Banbury) and they may be able to offer you advice?
Let me know if you want a contact number for them (or they are on the net!)

Best wishes and enjoy Mikey!
