I hope you all don't mind me posting this here as Sammy is not a lab.
This weekend has been a bit of a whirlwind for us. We were at the Fenwick show yesterday where she took a 2nd, reserve and VHC. Today we were in Stirling at the Hearing Dogs for the Deaf 25th anniversary show. Sam was entered in waggiest tail, dog judge would most like to take home, and in 2 heats for Scruftts, child's best friend and golden oldie.
My nephew, Ross, took her in and got a 6th in waggiest and a 4th in dog judge would take home. He didn't get anywhere in child's best friend, it was won by a Labradoodle!!! (enough said, don't want to go down the route of why is shouldn't have been entered). The ladies from Royal Canin came over to us after and said that she was robbed of first place and that they would have given it to her.
I then took her into Golden Oldie. There were about 20 in the class. It was shortlisted to 3, as the judge couldn't decide, and then Sammy was given a second!! It felt soo good. We got our photo taken for Dogsworld magazine and for Royal Canin who were the event sponsors.
During a short break from all this showing Sammy also passed her KC bronze good citizen award!!!
I can't believe how well she has done this weekend. Yesterday morning we had no rosettes and tonight Sam has 7 (!!!) shiny rosettes proudly displayed in our living room.
Well done my baby girl, your my little star.

Sam turned 9 on the 23/7. No one believes me when I say that she is 9. Everyone thinks that she is still a puppy. She certainly acts like one and is a very fit and healthy girl for her age.
