Charlie is at his worst when we are just setting off on our walkies and next-door's two cats goad him from the top of the drive, or from underneath my car (he has almost pulled me under there before Shocked ). Rolling Eyes

Spot on Helen - I've had nasty burns from Toby's rope lead too when he's seen something to chase and I also had a nasty accident with Toby's long-line training lead where it got wrapped around my ankle just as I threw something for him to retrieve...lets just say I had a sore bum... Embarassed Laughing but I did jarr my back.

Lets be honest - accidents and mishaps happen even to the most experienced owners...I mean, we do own labs don't we? Wink

Totally agree with you Smile but it doesn't make them too dangerous to use does it? You learn by your mistake and make sure you don't do it again. For example I use Global knives, they are dangerous in the wrong hands. I accidently cut myself when not concentrating but I didn't thrown the baby out with the bathwater and condemn them as too dangerous to use. I was just more careful next time Wink

Oh well if I was as perfect and experienced as you are ,it would never have happened obviously !!

If you really believe that an occurence that could happen to anybody has to be down to it being " in the wrong hands " then I worry for you ,I really do Sad

It's usual the drivers that believe they are perfect and cannot have an accident that are usually the most dangerous Sad

There is absolutely no need to get personal. If the person in control of the dog had been concentrating the accident most probably wouldn't have happened. Lesson learnt the hard way. It doesn't however make them dangerous per se. Not sure where the driving of cars fits but hey ho. Rolling Eyes

My apiologies to Romore .
Im sorry that I tried to give you my own personal opinion and was insulted for it as it seems Sally has decided her opinion is the only opinion
