Hiya all i am now the proud new mum of a little 9 week old black lab bitch Banjo.
Her real name is Ebony but my 3yr old daughter started calling her Banjo from the moment she saw her and its stuck!
She is soooo laid back its unbelievable! Yes she has the odd bouncy manic moment but generally she loves to be cuddled and stroked!
She's also eager to please and so far we have had only the occasional accident in the house, and her training is going well! she has learned to SIT allready! I have also left temptation in her wake (childrens lunch remains on their little table), so to warn her off and make her understand that human food is not dog food. She is also fed outside AFTER we have eaten our meals, and there is fresh water always available to her. She is being crate trained (going well so far - fingers crossed), and i am deliberatly leaving her for about an hour each day, as i am a stay at home mum and i dont want her to get seperation anxiety on the odd occasion we will have to leave her. My son was a premature baby so we do have regular hospital visits, and we do visit friends that do not like dogs .
She is my first so please anyone with any sound advice on raising, training, and owning a labrador with a young family please get in touch.

Hi,
Banjo looks lovely, congratulations on your new addition! I live in Wootton Bassett (just down the road from you) and if you were intersted I run a dog training business and I am also a behaviourist. We run dog training and puppy classes in Wootton Bassett on a Thursday night - in fact the next puppy course starts tonight. If you need any free advice on puppy raising, feel free to phone me. My website is www.tj-canine.co.uk if you want to see what I do and meet my crew of Labs.
Trace x
