In my experience, buy a tent with a bigger living space than the bedrooms (if you are buying a tent with bedrooms. How many have to fit in? If its just two of you go for a 4 man tent as the 2 are teeny. But if this camping trip is the only one you will be going on, dont waste lots on a tent. Go into Millets and they do great starter kits - usually with sleeping bags and other stuff.
I had no idea so I went to my local Camping and General....they had loads there that I could have a look round.
I decided to keep it simple (well there is only me and two dogs) and went for just a one large roomed jobbie....It is easy to put up and only cost about £60.
i hate tents and i've put up one by myself. most now adays have long bendy poles that u push thru tubes on the outside of the tent and woo hoo the tent just kinda pops up! hee hee
v easy!
